iPhone 15 Production Cuts: Analyst Predicts Shortage of Components

The next iPhones are about to arrive and everything will be known as early as next month, in September. Until then, as we are naturally used to, a lot of information, coming from rumors or some safer sources, will be revealed. Thus, recently an analyst predicted that the apple company may have cut production of the new iPhone 15 because of the shortage of certain components.

Production of the iPhone 15 may have already suffered cuts

According to forecasts by analyst Jeff Pu, Apple will already be cutting production of the new iPhone 15, which will hit the market next September, along with the launch of other novelties. The reason behind this prediction relates to the rumors that Tim Cook’s company will be facing problems with the mass production of some components for its new smartphone, such as screens and cameras.

Through a note sent to investors, accessed by the 9to5Mac, the analyst says that Apple is expected to produce around 77 million units of the iPhone 15 by the end of this year. But previously it was estimated that the apple brand would send to the market close to 83 million copies of the new phone. Jeff Pu points out that there are mainly two reasons.

Firstly, the analyst mentions the problems with the supply network of some components, specifically with regard to the sensors of Sony cameras, the titanium structure to equip the Pro models and the screens. But another concern is related to the amount of demand for the new equipment, which will have led Tim Cook to adjust his sales estimates.

Pu explains that the pre-launch production cut “not a positive sign and the potential price increase of the iPhone 15 Pro Max could also dampen the final demand“.
