The popular channel PBKreviews has broken down the iPhone 15 Pro
Its repair is not difficult at all
Nevertheless, it brings with it pitfalls that you need to watch out for
Smartphones are generally reliable machines, but every now and then it happens that you need to visit a service center. Whether it’s an unpopular manufacturing defect or the ineptitude of the owner, the price of repair can in many cases increase, especially if the phone is more complicated than necessary in terms of design. For this reason as well, a number of YouTubers take apart smartphones and then evaluate how easily they can be repaired, and even the latest iPhone 15 did not escape this judgment.
How easy is it to repair the iPhone 15 Pro?
The well-known YouTube channel PBKreviews also started disassembling the new Apple devices, which took a good look at the Pro version. It probably comes as no great surprise that taking apart the iPhone 15 Pro is not a difficult task at all. Apple itself supports easy repair, although you’d better not try it at home, even if you have the right tools at your disposal – it’s still relatively easy to damage a cable or tighten a screw too much.
Among the most difficult tasks when disassembling the iPhone 15 Pro is the removal of the display and the back panel, while even pulling out the L-shaped battery is not exactly easy. It has a capacity of 3,290 mAh and is therefore slightly larger than its predecessor. Despite this, these are still relatively easy operations, which, in connection with the discount of spare parts, is positive news for all users – their eventual replacement will not cost you half of your salary.
Don’t overlook
The iPhone 15 Pro Max unexpectedly caught fire in a durability test. Still, there is no reason to worry
Although Apple officially supports home repair, there is a catch. To service the active parts of the phone, you need to reach for original parts, otherwise you risk limiting the functionality of the device. In the past, for example, authorized services could not change the home button without turning off the Touch ID function or equipping the phone with a new display that would also support the True Tone function. So you don’t necessarily save a lot of money by doing a home repair, and you also run the risk of damaging the device even more.
