Reports of the iPhone 15 Pro and Pro Max overheating have been circulating on the web since the smartphones hit the market last week.

Some new owners are investigating the situation using electric thermometers, and sharing their results online, with one Reddit user posting a photo of his silver iPhone 15 Pro while checking the temperature on the back of the device.

“It gets so hot that I’m afraid to touch it, and my leg hurts if it’s in my pocket,” one user shared.

Another Reddit user found that his new iPhone Pro Max reached 104.3 degrees but was only experiencing overheating on the left side of the device.

A Chinese tech blogger named Geekerwan discovered that the iPhone Pro reaches new high levels of temperatures in just 30 minutes.
