Every September it’s that time: Apple’s big iPhone event takes place. For example, we expect to finally see the iPhone 15 next month. Apple will present it in about three weeks, and it will be in stores a week later. With the exception of the iPhone 15 Pro Max, according to the American website 9to5Mac.
But why this exception? This all has to do with a new feature: the persicoop lens. This will allow you to zoom in optically up to 3x without your photos becoming blurry. But the Pro Max is the only iPhone 15 model to get this lens, and according to 9to5Mac, supplier Sony is unable to deliver the necessary parts in time.
When?
According to 9to5Mac’s source, the iPhone 15 Pro Max won’t be released until October, about three or four weeks after pre-ordering the other devices. As a result, we can already make a prediction: the iPhone event is said to be on September 12, the pre-order on September 15 and the release on September 22. If we then count three to four weeks further, the iPhone 15 Pro Max will appear on October 6 or 13. But for now, this remains speculation.
Incidentally, this is not the first time that Apple has delayed the release of an iPhone model. It happened last year: all versions of the iPhone 14 appeared neatly in September, but the iPhone 14 Plus only in October. The iPhone XR, iPhone 12 mini and iPhone 12 Pro Max were also released later.
