JAKARTA – A number of iPhone 15 Pro Max users complained that their smartphone overheated when used.
This complaint was submitted via various platforms, including social media X (formerly Twitter) and Apple forums.
One X user with the handle @its_shevi claims that his iPhone 15 Pro Max heats up quickly, even when used for scrolling through social media.
”iPhone 15 Pro Max heats up quickly. I was just browsing social media, and it was as if my smartphone was on fire,” he wrote in a post.

The user then provided a follow-up comment regarding the overheating issue his cellphone was experiencing.
“You think I’m joking, but I’m really serious. Apple must find a solution to this issue as soon as possible,” he said.
“I have often upgraded from one iPhone to a newer iPhone, but I have never experienced an overheating problem like this,” added @its_shevi.
Another user with the handle @GadgetsBoy also experienced the same thing. Due to this excessive heat, he feels that users must use an iPhone case.

“iPhone 15 Pro Max can experience excessive heat, you definitely need a smartphone case. You don’t have to do intensive activities, and the iPhone will get hot. “Hopefully your favorite YouTuber talks about this issue,” he said.
This overheating issue was also experienced by the staff of the Apple news site 9to5Mac, Ian Zelbo. In his post on X, Zelbo said his smartphone was too hot to hold while it was charging.

Zelbo thought that people who experienced the same thing were initially just exaggerating the hot issue of the iPhone 15 Pro Max. However, he admitted that his estimate was wrong, because the hot issue was as bad as people said.
Then, Zelbo provided further observations regarding the issue of overheating for the smartphone he used.
“Interestingly, when held, the left and back sides of the smartphone feel the hottest. This location is parallel to the phone’s logic board (the component that contains the CPU and integrated circuit chips that control phone operations),” wrote Zelbo.
“After passing the battery percentage of 70 percent, the cellphone temperature decreases significantly (still hot but still comfortable to hold). The hottest temperature occurs when the smartphone battery is around 25 to 60 percent,” he continued. ***
