iPhone 15which was officially launched on Wednesday (13/9) in the United States with the lowest price of US$799 or Rp. 12.26 million, was detected starting to be processed at Indonesia. Check out the price forecast.
The latest iPhone series has also been registered on the Domestic Component Level (TKDN) page on the Ministry of Industry website. There are four new iPhone series that have received TKDN certificates, namely A3094 (iPhone 15 Plus), A3090 (iPhone 15), A3102 (iPhone 15 Pro), and A3106 (iPhone 15 Pro Max).
The Directorate General of Postal and Informatics Resources and Equipment (Ditjen SDPPI) Kominfo has also issued certificates for the four iPhone 15 variants, namely A3094 (iPhone 15 Plus), A3090 (iPhone 15), A3102 (iPhone 15 Pro), and A3106 (iPhone 15 Pro). Max).
There are at least four companies that have registered the iPhone 15 on the SDPPI Kominfo website, namely PT. Erajaya Swasembada (iBox retail owner), PT. Mapple Mitra Adiperkasa (owner of Digimap retail), PT Hartono Istana Teknologi and PT Apple Indonesia.
Price prediction
In terms of price, the US-made gadget is priced starting from US$799 or Rp. 12.26 million for the lowest type with a capacity of 128GB. So what is the market price in Indonesia?
When referring to the availability of the iPhone 14 in September 2022, several distributors are selling the smartphone at a higher price than the price on the US market.
Quoted from the shop owned by Apple’s official distributor in RI Erajaya, iBox, the price of a number of iPhone14 variants is IDR 4 million to IDR 5 million more expensive than the series released in the US.
The price difference is mainly related to the various taxes and import duties levied on the phones.
Thus, it could be that the lowest type of iPhone 15 in Indonesia is priced at around IDR 16 million, while the most expensive is likely priced at around IDR 30 million.
What’s new?
Apple has finally answered the iPhone 15 specification rumors out there. One of the newest features on this premium cellphone is the USB-C plug. The company replaced the Lightning connector on all of their latest iPhone 15 series, from the regular to the Pro Max.
Apart from that, Apple has embedded an Action Button button on the iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max series. This button replaces the Mute Switch or ‘silent’ switch on the iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max.
The ‘silent’ button on previous iPhones was useful for quickly switching the phone from ring to silent mode and vice versa.
Meanwhile, Action Button allows users to select the type of quick action they want to access.
Through the Action Button, users can not only switch the iPhone from ringing mode to silent mode, but can also choose several other quick actions such as opening the camera, turning on the flash, and others.
