JawaPos.com – It’s been almost a year since Apple announced the iPhone 14 lineup, now we’re starting to hear a lot of rumors about the iPhone 15. But one thing that’s not clear at the moment is when Apple will announce the new phones.
However, the latest news does happy Apple Fanboys, Apple fans, the launch date for the iPhone 15 Series is known. According to information seen by 9to5Mac, Apple plans to announce new iPhones in the third week of September.
Reported via GSMArena, Saturday (5/8), Apple will announce the iPhone 15 series on September 13. If so, Wednesday’s date would be six days later than last year’s announcement of the iPhone 14 series.
The new report cites multiple sources familiar with the matter who claim the United States (US) mobile carrier had asked employees not to take the day off on September 13 due to “announcements smartphone big”. This could of course be a launch unrelated to Apple but the timing makes it sound genuine.
The iPhone 15 rumors circulating recently suggest slimmer bezels and a titanium frame on the 15 Pro model alongside a new camera and periscope module on the 15 Pro Max. Vanilla 15 and 15 Plus are said to gain cutout Dynamic Island but no ProMotion 120Hz yet.
The iPhone 15 Pro is estimated to cost USD 100 or around IDR 1.5 million more expensive than its predecessor. Also reportedly, the iPhone 15 Pro variant will start selling from USD 1,099 or the equivalent of Rp. 16.6 million.
Meanwhile, the 15 Pro Max is expected to increase by USD 200 or the equivalent of Rp. 3 million and will probably be sold starting at USD 1,299 or around Rp. 19.6 million.
Also for your information, most iPhone announcements happen on Tuesdays, last year’s event was held on September 7th, a Wednesday. Since September 13th is also a Wednesday, it’s probably the date Apple has chosen to hold its special event next month.
If Apple does announce new iPhones on September 13th, we’d guess pre-order will begin on Friday, September 15th, with the official launch a week later, on September 22nd. As a comparison, pre-order iPhone 14 starts on September 9, with an official release in stores on September 16.
