Jakarta, CNBC IndonesiaApple will soon launch the iPhone 15 series at 00.00 WIB on September 13 in the morning. Ahead of the release, there was some ‘drama’ that occurred.

Starting from the issue of the iPhone 15 Pro production chain being hampered, to the blocking carried out by China. Xi Jinping’s government has reportedly banned government employees or government-affiliated companies from using iPhones in the work environment.

This policy affected Apple’s share price, which fell last week. Apart from that, the emergence of the Huawei Mate 60 Pro which supports 5G networks also seems to be blocking the popularity of the iPhone 15.

According to analysts, the appearance of the Huawei Mate 60 Pro seems to have been planned. Coupled with the policy of blocking iPhones in China, it seems Xi Jinping wants to strengthen the use of local smartphones in his country

Despite the drama, the iPhone 15 Pro and Pro Max series are said to bring significant improvements to the camera aspect. The features on the iPhone 15 will determine its business in the future, amidst the onslaught from the Xi Jinping government. Check out the leak below:

iPhone 15 Camera Features Leaked

Quoted from CultofMacTuesday (12/9/2023), Apple will provide the Periscope camera exclusively for the iPhone 15 Pro Max model.

Meanwhile, the Pro line will use the same camera as its predecessor. Apple still maintains a 48MP resolution lens with an IMX803 sensor. Improved camera quality will come from faster image processing.

However, the Ultrawide and Telephoto functions on the iPhone 15 Pro and Pro Max will receive significant improvements. Rumors say that Apple will use an Ultrawide camera with 13.4MP resolution (f/2.2), but it is not specified how wide the field of view will be.

For Telephoto, the two premium variant cellphones will use a 12.7MP (f/2.8) camera. The difference is, the Pro Max model will be equipped with Periscope which accommodates optical zoom of more than 3x.

Because of this, the iPhone 15 Pro Max camera module is predicted to be bigger and thicker than its other ‘brothers’.

For the regular and Plus iPhone 15 series, they still use the same 48MP main camera. The Ultrawide function is supported by a 12MP lens (f/2.4).

Leaked iPhone 15 specifications

This flagship cellphone will come in 4 models, namely iPhone 15, iPhone 15 Pro, iPhone 15 Plus, and iPhone 15 Pro Max.

The Pro model is said to feature a titanium frame design, an upgrade from the previous one using stainless steel. That way, the iPhone 15 Pro should have a lighter weight than the iPhone 14 Pro.

Veteran Apple product analyst Ming Chi-Kuo has also revealed many leaks about this premium cellphone.

In terms of color, Kuo said the Pro variant will come in grey, silver/white, black and blue. If true, this means this will be the first iPhone Pro series without a gold color variant after the iPhone X.

Meanwhile, for the regular and Plus variants, it is reported that the iPhone 15 will be available in black, pink, yellow and green, quoted from MacRumorsTuesday (12/9/2023).

All iPhone 15 series are also said to come with a USB-C port. This is new history for the iPhone line which has so far relied on the Lightning port. Apart from that, all models will also have Dynamic Island, a premium feature that was previously only provided on the Pro variant.

Kuo also noted that the Pro Max variant will be the last model produced. As a result, stock of the product will be very limited when it is launched.

It should be noted, these various rumors have not been directly confirmed by Apple. Everything can be confirmed at the launch this morning.
