Liputan6.com, Jakarta – After the iPhone 15 was released, various battery life test experiments began to appear. Apple praised the efficiency of the 3nm A17 Pro chip, so expectations arose that the iPhone 15 Pro and Pro Max would take the top spot in this test.
Collect 9to5MacTuesday (26/9/2023), one of those who carried out the testing was Mrwhosetheboss. He is known to have tested iPhone battery life several times.
As is known, Apple’s technology specifications page usually only explains the iPhone’s battery life through information on its ability to play audio or video.
According to Apple, the iPhone 15 Pro Max can survive video playback streaming for 25 hours, while the iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Plus can last for 20 hours. However, on audio playback, the Pro Max only lasts 95 hours, while the Plus reaches 100 hours.
This information is usually used as a reference to describe the capabilities between models, but is actually difficult to use to determine its capabilities in the real world.
The reason is that daily cellphone use is usually heavier than just watching videos or playing music.
Because of that, Mrwhosetheboss tries to simulate more realistic daily usage patterns, by performing power-intensive activities such as watching TikTok videos, Zoom, recording videos on the camera, and playing games.
Then, the cellphone screen will remain on all the time until the battery runs out and turns off. The test results show that the iPhone 15 line has succeeded in beating all the old iPhone series.
This latest generation iPhone managed to beat the iPhone 13 Pro Max, which was previously said to have the best battery life.
From this test, the iPhone 15 Pro was able to last for 9 hours 20 minutes, followed by the iPhone 15 which lasted less than 10 hours.
Furthermore, the iPhone 15 Pro Max was able to last 11 hours 41 minutes. Then, the iPhone 15 Plus turned out to be the device that lasted the longest, turning on for 13 hours and 19 minutes.
