Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia – Apple lowers the price of the iPhone 14 in Indonesia. This seems to be one of the strategies of the company from Cupertino, USA, to increase sales.
It was reported that Apple’s business plummeted in Q1 2023. Its overall revenue fell 5% year over year (YoY) to US$117.2 billion.
Specifically for iPhone sales, revenue fell 8% YoY. The iPhone 14 series is the culprit, because the production of these cellphones was hampered due to Covid-19 in China. In addition, the economic slowdown has also reduced people’s purchasing power.
Responding to this, Apple did not remain silent. They want to boost sales with a discount strategy. The iPhone 14 series, which was just released about 4 months ago, suddenly lowered prices in several countries, including India and Indonesia.
