TrendForce said the iPhone 14 Pro models will be upgraded to a faster and more power-efficient RAM type known as LPDDR5, while the iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Max models are expected to remain at LPDDR4X.
RAM CAPACITY OF iPHONE 14 REVEALED
If the report is proven to be correct, the RAM capacities of the iPhone 14 models will be as follows:
iPhone 14: 6 GB (LPDDR4X)
iPhone 14 Max: 6 GB (LPDDR4X)
iPhone 14 Pro: 6GB (LPDDR5)
iPhone 14 Pro Max: 6 GB (LPDDR5)
On the iPhone 13 models, the situation was as follows:
iPhone 13 mini: 4 GB (LPDDR4X)
iPhone 13: 4GB (LPDDR4X)
iPhone 13 Pro: 6GB (LPDDR4X)
iPhone 13 Pro Max: 6 GB (LPDDR4X)
INFORMATION OVERCOME
The information provided in this report, Apple It coincides with information shared by analyst Ming-Chi Kuo. As a reminder, Kuo claimed that all four iPhone 14 models will be equipped with 6GB of RAM, and the iPhone 14 Pro models will be upgraded to LPDDR5.
TrendForce also suggests that the iPhone 14 Pro models may start with 256GB of storage, but the exact information is out of the question.
There are two features that are expected to be exclusive to iPhone 14 Pro models. These; updated 48-megapixel rear camera and A16 chipset. The standard iPhone 14 models are expected to come with the A15 chipset.
As said before, the iPhone 14 mini is not expected this year. Instead, it is noted that Apple plans to release the 6.1-inch iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Pro models, and the 6.7-inch iPhone 14 Max and iPhone 14 Pro Max models. The devices will likely be announced at Apple’s event in September.
