SINERGIANEWS.com Apple is again rumored to be presenting an iPhone with USB-C connectivity. This time, it’s the iPhone 14 Pro, which is believed to be ditching the Lightning connector in favor of USB-C.

This information is provided by LeaksApplePro. He said Apple is considering implementing USB-C for the iPhone 14, but only for the iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max.

It’s worth mentioning that LeaksApplePro’s track record isn’t particularly impressive, and this rumor also contradicts leaks from other sources.

Jon Prosser previously stated that the iPhone 14’s design would be changed but would retain the Lightning port.

However, LeaksApplePro offers three additional reasons why Apple will integrate USB-C in the iPhone 14 Pro/Pro Max. First, because USB-C has a faster data transmission speed than Lightning.

As previously announced, the iPhone 13 Pro and iPhone 13 Pro Max now include a 4K ProRes video function that can produce a six-second video with a file size of six gigabytes or a two-hour video with a file size of 720 gigabytes.

Users can transfer 720GB files in 3 hours 45 minutes using the Lightning connector that supports USB 2.0. While USB-C can perform the task in two minutes and 38 seconds, according to a report from BGR, Sunday (11/21/2021).

In addition, the European Commission recently passed a new law that requires USB-C in cell phone vendor products. Since the majority of Android phones now use USB-C, Apple has been warned to follow suit.

By swapping the Lightning port on the iPhone 14 Pro for a USB-C connection, the phone is becoming more environmentally friendly, as other Apple products that support USB-C can easily share a charger.

Apple has already incorporated USB-C into a number of its gadgets, including the current iPad and MacBook. Although it has often been rumored, this feature has not yet reached the iPhone.
