Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia – iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max users have complained on social media because they experience screen burn-in due to using the Always on Display feature.

Burn-in seen as after image which remains on the screen even after the phone is turned off. Pictures shared online clearly show wallpaper lock screen and time displayed on the WeChat app.

But what is more concerning is that this report shows that the screens of the iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max quickly burn out in the area cutout Dynamic Island, a small indentation at the top of the screen that houses the front camera and other sensors.

The problem appears more pronounced when the user runs multiple applications, as this increases the visual size of Dynamic Island GizchinaTuesday (21/2/2023).

It’s not clear how widespread this problem is. However, some users have reported this issue and are seeking assistance from Apple after-sales service.

iPhone 14 Pro first line with issues burn-in?

One user reported that they were told by an Apple employee they had never experienced this screen burn-in on previous new iPhones.

However, users can get a free screen replacement under the extended Apple Care+ warranty. While other users say they have only had the iPhone 14 Pro for less than a month. But burn-in from Dynamic Island is already on the screen.

At this time, Apple has not commented on this customer complaint, and it is unclear what steps the company will take to address it.

Screen burn-in is not a new problem, and can be caused by various factors. However, with the Always on Display feature, it looks like this problem could become more common on the iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max.

For now, it’s important for iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max users to realize the potential screen burn-in and take steps to minimize the risk.

This could include avoiding the Always on Display feature or reducing the time it is active. As well as regularly changing wallpapers and avoiding using applications that have static elements.
