JAKARTA – The latest news about the front camera iPhone 14released this year, comes from industry analyst Ming-Chi Kuo.

Kuo, an analyst at TF International Securities, is known to accurately predict the specifications of Apple’s upcoming smartphone. Quoted from Phone Arena, Wednesday, Kuo leaked that the iPhone 14’s front camera will be better than its predecessor.

On the iPhone 14, Apple is rumored to be pinning an aperture of f/1.9 on the front camera, which is not yet known how big the resolution is. This selfie camera will also have an autofocus feature.

The iPhone 13 series uses an aperture of f/2.2 on the front camera and fixed focus

The aperture or aperture on a camera is a device that regulates how much light enters the lens. The aperture setting is represented by the letter “f”, which means the ratio of the focal length to the diameter of the aperture.

The smaller the number that follows the letter “f”, the larger the aperture. That is, the smaller the number in the aperture, the more light that enters, the brighter the photo.

A low aperture also affects the depth of the image, aka the bokeh effect.

Meanwhile, autofocus is the camera’s ability to automatically find and focus on the subject of the image. In contrast, manual focus, the user must find the object to be focused on by himself.

Kuo stated that with these two features, the front camera of the iPhone 14 will provide good portrait photos. Apart from that, autofocus will also come in handy for video calls, FaceTime apps and live broadcasts.

Apple is rumored to be releasing four iPhones in September this year, namely the regular 6.1-inch iPhone 14; iPhone 14 Max 6.7 inches; 6.1-inch iPhone 14 Pro; and the 6.7-inch iPhone 14 Pro Max.

The news circulating, the iPhone 14 Pro and Pro Max will be equipped with a 48MP rear camera that supports 8K video recording, according to Phone Arena quoted Wednesday.
