iPhone 14 Front Camera Called to Have Autofocus and Good at ‘Low Light’

Jakarta, CNN Indonesia

Industry analyst Ming-Chi Kuo predicts front camera iPhone 14 which is usually used for selfies aka selfies will be better than seri previously.

Quoted from Phone ArenaKuo, an analyst at TF International Securities who is known for his accuracy in guessing Apple’s device specifications, revealed that the iPhone 14 will have an autofocus feature with an f/1.9 front camera aperture.

However, it is not yet known how big the resolution will be. Meanwhile, the iPhone 13 uses an f/2.2 aperture on the front camera and has fixed focus.

The aperture number on the camera represents the size of the hole through which light enters the lens. The aperture setting is represented by the letter “f”, which means the ratio of the focal length to the diameter of the aperture.

The smaller the number that follows the letter “f”, the larger the aperture. The smaller the number on the aperture, the more light that enters, making it possible to use it in low light conditions.

A low aperture also affects the depth of the image, aka the bokeh effect.

Meanwhile, autofocus is the camera’s ability to automatically find and focus on the subject of the image. The opposite is manual focus where the user must find the object to be focused on by himself.

Kuo continued with the two features, the front camera of the iPhone 14 will provide ‘nice’ portrait photos. Apart from that, autofocus will also come in handy for video calls, FaceTime, and live streaming.

In addition, the rear camera on the iPhone 14 Pro model is said to be 25 to 35 percent larger than the iPhone 13 Pro and Pro Max, with a resolution of 48MP, much larger than the main camera in the previous product which was only 12MP in the last seven years.

The leaked iPhone 14 design also shows a slimmer build, a faster A16 Bionic chip, and the possibility of USB-C access.

Previously, Apple was rumored to be releasing four iPhones in September 2022, namely the regular 6.1-inch iPhone 14; iPhone 14 Max 6.7 inches; 6.1-inch iPhone 14 Pro; and the 6.7-inch iPhone 14 Pro Max.

The news circulating, the iPhone 14 Pro and Pro Max will be equipped with a 48MP rear camera that supports 8K video recording.

HP specs

The specifications and prices of the iPhone 14 have recently been leaked in the media. The latest series of mobile phones from Apple is said to be priced at Rp. 11.4 million.

The iPhone 14 Pro model looks to have the most radical upgrades. However, major changes may also be seen in the iPhone 14 lineup as the iPhone 14 Mini series is planned to be phased out in favor of the new 6.7-inch iPhone 14 Max.

According to the latest rumors quoted from Toms Guide, the iPhone 14 is undergoing engineering validation tests (EVTs), meaning the design has been refined since the iPhone 14 went into production testing in February. These tests will show whether the new models do meet Apple’s exacting standards.

Meanwhile, the price of the iPhone 14 that will be sold in the market is also difficult to predict. However, the price is predicted to be the same as the iPhone 13 price starting at US $ 799 or Rp. 11.4 million for the regular series and US $ 999 or around Rp. 14.3 million for the iPhone 14 Pro.

Since there may not be an iPhone 14 mini this time, the 6.7-inch wide iPhone 14 Max is predicted to cost US$899 or Rp. 12.8 million and maybe more than US$1,099 or Rp. 15.7 million for the iPhone Pro Max.

On the other hand, LeaksApplePro claims that three of the four iPhone 14 models are expected to see a price increase.

The standard iPhone 14 is expected to stay at US$799 and the new iPhone 14 Max ripped at US$899. But the iPhone 14 Pro may be priced at US$1,099 or up US$100 from the previous US$999 iPhone 13 Pro.

Likewise for the iPhone 14 Pro Max, which is said to be a price increase of US $ 1,199 or Rp. 17.2 million.

This significant price increase certainly makes people waiting for the presence of the iPhone 14 to expect advanced technology.
