Jakarta (ANTARA) – The emergency function on the iPhone 14 automatically calls the emergency services when the user picks up the phone roller coaster.

The iPhone 14 is also said to automatically call emergency services when the phone falls while the user is driving.

The emergency function built into the iPhone 14 is called Crash Detection or Accident Detection. Apple incorporates sensors and accelerometers so that the phone can detect danger, from the front, back, side and when the phone is upside down.

When an accident occurs, the phone automatically calls the emergency services, in the United States it is 911. If the user does not hang up within 20 seconds, the phone automatically sends a message to 911 with the incident and location.

Crash Detection recently sent an emergency message when a user’s car in Nebraska hit a tree. When the accident occurred, there were no witnesses on the spot, so there was no one to call for help.

In addition to the iPhone, Apple has also added this feature to the Apple Watch 8. The crash detection feature can be turned off via the settings or when the phone is in airplane mode.
