Recently, as part of the “ecology”, Apple stopped packing both charging adapters and the popular EarPods into the packaging of iPhones. While in all countries they have had to take this step reluctantly, in France customers do not have to worry about it. Under French law, Apple has to pack headphones with its iPhone, whether it likes it or not.
France is concerned about the effects of radio radiation on the human body, so it is asking smartphone products to provide users with an alternative in the form of hands-free headphones. The aim is primarily to protect children aged 14 and under, who, according to France, are the most vulnerable group.
Apple also met the need to pack headphones last year, and it did not avoid this obligation this year either. However, changing the sales package for just one state is an unnecessary and expensive complication, so the giant from Cupertino solved the whole situation in a Solomonic way: the classic sales package iPhone 13 (mini) a iPhone 13 Pro (Max) placed in a larger box in which you will find headphones.
Apple must obey French law
Although we can dwell on the fact that in this case, ecology is getting a big tail, the law is simply the law, and even Apple cannot choose which legislation it wants or does not want to comply with.
