While the whole world is waiting for the announcement of the iPhone 12 line, analyst Ross Young published Check out Twitter for details on Apple smartphones due in 2021.
According to an insider, the iPhone 13 line will not see any noticeable differences from the iPhone 12, and the number of models will not change – there will be four of them:
- iPhone 13 Pro Max with display 6.67 “;
- iPhone 13 Pro with display 6.06 “;
- iPhone 13 with display 6.06 “;
- iPhone 13 with a 5.42 “display.
According to Young, the iPhone 13 will be equipped with ProMotion screens with support for refresh rates up to 120 Hz, and three manufacturers will supply them for Apple at once – BOE, Samsung and LG. Whether the 2020 iPhone lineup will receive 120 Hz has been debated for a long time, but the closer to the announcement, the less optimistic the forecasts are.
Pro-line iPhone 13 should receive triple main camera modules and LiDAR should act as the fourth “eye”, while regular iPhone 13 will receive only dual cameras. Another difference between the iPhone 13 and the iPhone 13 Pro is 5G support: junior devices will be equipped with support for the next generation of communication only in the 6 GHz range, and the firmware will support the mmWave standard.
The fifth novelty that Ross Young mentioned is the 3rd generation iPhone SE, which can get a 6.06 “display, a Touch ID fingerprint scanner in the power key and a similar set of cameras to the iPhone 11. But it should not be expected until spring 2022.
