SUMBAR – Complicated diseases are currently not only attacking the elderly, but young people in their 30s can also be attacked by various types of diseases. Complications that occur on average contribute to various hazards, one of the most dangerous is heart disease.

Ipda dr. Ersha Yuliany Nasrul revealed, Acute Coronary Syndrome is a heart attack, in the form of a collection of symptoms related to heart muscle injury due to blockage of blood vessels that flow in the heart, an emergency if it is due to heart muscle death.

There are also several causes, of which more than 90% of the causes of ACS are rupture of atherosclerotic plaques and the formation of blood clots in the coronary blood.

Unhealthy lifestyles such as being lazy and smoking are trigger factors for the increase in the number of cases of coronary heart disease among Indonesian youth under the age of 40. In addition there are also several trigger factors, namely high cholesterol, low HDL (<40), Hipertensi td>140/90, Diabetes mellitus, and a family history of coronary heart disease.

“Symptoms of coronary heart disease are the appearance of pain/discomfort in the chest, in the substernal, left chest or epigastrium, radiating to the neck, left shoulder and left hand and back, like pressure, squeezed, burned or stabbed. Apart from that, it can be accompanied by cold sweat, nausea, vomiting, weakness and lightheadedness and fainting, and it can occur with a heavy or light intensity and lasts more than 20 minutes,” said Dr. Ersha.

“There are several ways to prevent it, including stopping smoking, controlling blood pressure, controlling blood sugar, lowering cholesterol, and doing physical activity 5-7 times a week,” he added.(asen)
