Student IPB University was found dead at the Cikabayan Experimental Garden, Dramaga Campus of IPB. The student died allegedly from being bitten by a venomous snake.
Deputy Chancellor for Education and Student Affairs at IPB University, Drajat Martianto, said the victim was found dead.
After receiving the report, the IPB campus and the Dramaga sector police immediately took the victim to Ciawi Hospital for an autopsy.
Drajat Martianto expressed his concern over the incident and conveyed his condolences to the victim’s family.
“Innalillahi wa innailaihi rojiun. May the deeds of worship of the deceased be accepted by Allah SWT and get the best place by His side. May the family be given patience in dealing with this disaster,” said Drajat, as reported by Antara, Wednesday (17/11/2021).
He advised students who were conducting research and practicum in the field to be more careful and apply occupational safety and health (K3) by using adequate safety equipment.
