Apple will present iPadOS 15 in a few months, in June during WWDC 2021. We will then know what the manufacturer has in store for its system dedicated to tablets, after a relatively poor year in new products compared to iOS 14. This concept imagines the novelties that could be in the program of iPadOS 15 and it does so without going into incoherent delusions.
We thus find a home screen revised in iOS 14 sauce, with widgets that can be mixed with app icons. While doing so, the iPad could go further and this concept imagines a screen closer to the desktop of macOS, with also the possibility of depositing files and folders. It’s not stupid, to be able to quickly access elements that we use frequently.
The concept also offers a very convincing interface for iPads to better manage external screens. A button would switch from the current video copy mode to an extended mode where the monitor is managed differently from that integrated into the tablet. In this mode, the interface that displays all open apps would show the two screens at the top, like macOS does with virtual desktops. This is clever, especially since you could switch from one app from one screen to another by dragging and dropping.
As long as you dream, the concept also evokes the possibility of having several user sessions, each user can be identified by FaceID. And why not the possibility of running iOS apps on the tablet, in Slide Over mode to respect their reduced width. It would even allow Apple to offer a calculator to its iPad, imagine that!
