According to a Bloomberg report, Apple is expected to launch the next-generation iPad Pro model in the second half of April.

The report claims that the iPad Pro will launch in two sizes, however, the Mini LED display, which is said to improve contrast ratios and provide a brighter image, will be exclusive to the more expensive 12.9-inch model.

The report also added that Apple is currently facing production issues that could lead to a shortage of initial supplies of the next device.

Taiwanese suppliers Ennostar Inc., General Interface Solution Holding Ltd. and Taiwan Surface Mount Technology Corp. are among the leading suppliers of Mini LED technology, the report revealed and also claimed that “at least one of the MiniLED manufacturers recently had to do this. pause production… ”

Along with the improved display, the next iPad Pro models are also expected to offer improved cameras and be powered by a faster processor, on par with the custom M1 chip from the company’s latest Macs. In addition, the iPad Pro models would also offer a faster USB-C port, compatible with a wider range of accessories and monitors.

A previous report from 9to5Mac that quotes reliable analyst Ming-Chi Kuo had suggested the same that Apple is getting ready to adopt mini-LED displays for the new iPad Pro.

According to the report, although Kuo had said that Apple would first use the mini-LED display for the new iPad Pro, “other iPad models will switch to OLED displays, starting with the iPad Air. next year.”
