iPad Pro and Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra are challenged by the Lenovo Tab Extreme

Lenovo is launching its Tab Extreme tablet, a high-end beast with a 14.5-inch display, in a battle against premium tablets with large displays. The device clearly wants to challenge the 12.9-inch iPad Pro and the 14.6-inch Samsung Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra.

The Lenovo Tab Extreme unveiled at this year’s CES certainly beats the competing Apple tablet in terms of display size, but it’s only 0.1 inch behind the Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra with its 14.5-inch OLED display. There are 3000 x 1876 pixels on this huge surface, the refresh rate of the panel is 120Hz and the screen also supports HDR10+.

The Lenovo tablet is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 9000 chipset, which is more or less on par with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chipset that powers the Samsung tablet in terms of computing power. The chip can be accompanied by up to 12GB of RAM or 256GB of storage, depending on our choice. The tablet runs Android 13 OS right from the start and the manufacturer promises 3 full version updates and 4 years of security patches.

There is a 13-megapixel camera on the back of the Lenovo Tab Extreme, which is accompanied by a 5-megapixel ultra-wide-angle module, and the front camera is 13-megapixel. The tablet is equipped with 8 JBL speakers, which also have Dolby Atmos support. Power is supplied by a battery with a capacity of 12,300 mAh, which supports 68-watt fast charging.

As for data connection options, we get a USB-C 3.1 Gen 1 connector, another USB-C port with the 2.0 standard, a micro SD slot, Wi-Fi 6E support and Bluetooth 5.3, but the 5G/LTE modem it’s not even optional. . The tablet supports touch pens, at least the manufacturer’s accessory called Lenovo Precision Pen 3. Distribution of the Lenovo Tab Extreme will begin this year, the starting price of the device is 1,200 dollars, or about 442 thousand HUF.
