iPad Pro 2024 Will Use an OLED Screen

Jakarta, Selular.ID – Apple is reportedly going to stop using mini LED panels and switch to OLED panels. Even though it was only earlier this year that the latest iPad Pro appeared with a mini LED screen.

According to The Elec report, Apple has its own reasons for using an OLED panel for the iPad Pro screen. Through the use of an OLED screen, the iPad Pro screen will be brighter, more durable, and stronger than before.

The Elec reports that the OLED screen on the iPad Pro will be supplied by a South Korean company. Obviously, LG Display will manufacture and supply the OLED screen for the iPad Pro device.

The OLED panel iPad will launch in the next two to three years. The report claims that LG has started development of an OLED panel for the 12.9-inch iPad Pro.

Furthermore, LG Display is rumored to be using LTPO technology on the iPad Pro’s OLED screen.

This panel is expected to be used by the iPad Pro output in 2023 or 2024. This means that for the next year or two, the iPad Pro will still use a mini LED display panel.

For additional information, the embedding of OLED screens with LTPO technology in Apple gadget products is actually not the first time. Recently, reports circulated that Apple had canceled its plans for the 2022 iPad Air OLED developed with Samsung.

This information indicates that there are technical barriers and financial disputes that have caused the collaboration between Apple and Samsung to experience problems. As is known, the iPhone 13 Pro series smartphone released a few weeks ago is known to use an OLED screen with LTPO technology with a maximum refresh rate of 120Hz.
