I also have a home assistant with a lot of functionality.
I am quite technically minded, but even then it was a fairly steep learning curve and a lot of hours were put into it. With pleasure, that is.
But still I don’t think home assistant is an option for just anyone. Not everyone can/wants to set it up and especially maintain it.
A more standardized platform where all smart devices can be put together and where the functionalities of the devices themselves can be controlled, that would be welcome for many.
Because here too I still have the separate app for all my devices, it’s a mess and there are also some really horrible apps among them that I don’t even understand were made available…
