iOS 17.3 Beta 2 Installation Issue Bricks iPhones – Here’s How to Fix It!

Apple released a new beta of iOS 17.3, but something went wrong! Some people (including our installation on the iPhone 15 Pro Max) had their device locked, with the only possibility of resetting it by doing a DFU Mode. However, there are already some clues to the problem and a solution to resolve it. Apple has already stopped distribution.

iOS 17.3 beta 2… it’s gone!

Apple has just released iOS 17.3 beta 2 for developers, but it’s best to hold off on installing it. The update appears to be bricking many people’s iPhones during the installation process, but there is a fix you can try without losing your data.

According to reports, the blockade appears to be affecting people who have Back Tap activated on iPhone. However, Apple has already withdrawn the update.

When we tried to install, the iPhone 15 Pro Max downloaded the update, but then remained in loop, restarting, with the apple logo flashing every time the process restarted. Then it was left with the SpringBoard rotary knob. This behavior is affecting many people, according to reports on social media.

How can you install:

  • Download the IPSW do iOS 17.3 beta 1 for your Mac;
  • Connect iPhone to Mac;
  • Press volume up, then volume down, then press and hold the side button (power button) until the recovery mode screen appears.
  • It will open Finder with restore options (in Finder, hold down the Option key when clicking the restore button to select IPSW)

There are applications that can perform the restoration without causing data loss. One of these applications is the EaseUS MobiMover. This is because, when using the Finder (as if it were iTunes), you will lose the data contained on the iPhone, after restoring to beta 1.
