Apple has held the Apple Event March 2022 with the introduction of a variety of new products.
Starting from iPhone 13 series in green, iPad Air 5, Apple M1 Ultra on Mac Studio and Studio Display, and iPhone SE 2022.
However, the one that the MakeMac Friends have been waiting for has not been released yet. That is updates iOS 15.4 and macOS Monterey 12.3.
From a note in Apple Newsroom, it turns out that Apple explained that the update iOS 15.4 and macOS Monterey 12.3 will be shared starting next week.
Apple also explained that the new green iPhone 13 series will also install iOS 15.4 directly.
iOS 15.4 will be available as a free software update starting next week.
For now, the iOS 15.4 and iPadOS 15.4 updates are still in the Release Candidate aka RC stage.
Release Candidate is the final version of the Beta version before the version for general users releases next week.
New Features iOS 15.4
The iOS 15.4 update brings a number of new features that you must try immediately if they are released.
First is unlock mode Face ID by continuing to use face mask. This feature can help you unlock screens, authenticate payments in the App Store or supported apps and Apple Pay.
Face ID with masks works by detecting the area around the eyes to compensate for the detection of all parts of the face that were previously needed so that they can now walk while still wearing a mask.

This feature will be available to users iPhone 12 series or later.

This feature can help you to control the Mac and iPad alternately with a mouse cursor and keyboard only.
An example of using this feature is to copy a document or text in iPadOS and paste (paste) to Mac computers within the same network and the same iCloud account.
In addition to the above features, iOS 15.4 also brings several other features. Like new Emoji, Tap to Pay on iPhone, improved privacy features for AirTag and many others.
