CUPERTINO, kilat.comiOS 15.2 Update which was released last week turned out to not only not fix the Bluetooth connectivity issues iPhone users had on iOS 15.1 and 15.1.1, but some believe the update also spreads the bug to more users who weren’t previously suffering from it.

According to a complaint found in the Apple Support Community (via Forbes), Bluetooth connectivity issues have arisen on certain iPhone models used with cars manufactured by Acura, Audi, BMW, Chevrolet, Ford, Honda, Hyundai, Lincoln, Mazda, Mercedes, Mitsubishi. , Porsche, Toyota and Volvo.

This is more than just a nuisance as one member of the Apple Support Group wrote. “I use Bluetooth on my Highlander for calls and about 3 minutes on Bluetooth drops, allowing me to find my phone and quickly put it on the speaker (while driving) to either finish the call or hang up. This is very unsafe and makes me not want to use the phone in in the car,” said an iPhone user as reported by Phone Arena.

Apple has not acknowledged that this problem exists. And another user who reported the problem in the Support Group wrote, “I have issues with my iPhone 13 mini and iOS 15. Bluetooth works great -basically Spotify over Bluetooth works without issue.”

“But calling via Bluetooth was really a problem for me. I use Bluetooth in my car as well as my handsfree. Unfortunately the situation is the same -if I want to call via Bluetooth, the call is canceled after a few minutes (sometimes 2 minutes, sometimes 6 minutes). minutes). I found there is the same problem with iPhone 12 and iOS 15 beta. Can you fix it?” report again.

This bug can cause a terrible crash if an iPhone user is looking around for their phone while behind the wheel. We recommend that iPhone users experiencing this problem don’t search for their phone to finish a call while driving.

This can easily lead to a fatal accident. With such a result, it’s surprising that Apple hasn’t acknowledged the issue and has accelerated the fix.

Although the issue has been found in all iPhone models compatible with iOS 15, it seems that iPhone 12 and iPhone 13 are the models most affected by the bug. For example, one iPhone 13 Pro Max owner revealed that two to eight minutes after placing a phone call on his Bluetooth-connected phone, the call ended up on the car speaker even though it continued on the phone itself.

Continuing his post, this frustrated iPhone owner said, the Bluetooth connectivity problem of the phone only appears during phone calls in the car. In other situations, Bluetooth audio will work fine in the car. Others reported some music streaming apps like Spotify disconnected randomly.

Apple Community Experts don’t seem to be of much help. They suggest users with this problem restart their iPhone and if that doesn’t work, they should turn Bluetooth off for 20 seconds and turn it back on.

If that doesn’t sound very helpful, the same “specialist” says that if the problem persists, the user should contact Apple Support.

One thing to note is that many of these complaints are dated back in October, well before the iOS 15.2 update was dropped. Thus, Phone Arena concludes, that installing iOS 15.2 is not the cause of the Bluetooth connectivity issue. And whatever the cause of this problem, the most important thing for Apple to do is fix it as soon as possible.

Interestingly enough, there are some iPhone users who claim the iOS 15.2 update has fixed the bug on their phones. Although Apple did not include this in the change list.

So according to iPhone users, the latest update didn’t fix the Bluetooth connectivity issue, might actually have caused the problem in the first place according to some, and removed the bug according to others.
