Since last Wednesday it is possible to download the upgrade to iOS 14 for your iPhone. If you don’t like that software, for whatever reason, then we have bad news: downgrading to iOS 13.7 is no longer possible. Apple signs that version of the operating system no longer.
This is of course not a strange practice. When a new version of an operating system is available, companies, including Apple, want people to install and use the latest version. For a moment there is still an opening for downgrading, as the software can always contain a reason to do so. But that opening disappears over time, so you won’t be secretly left behind on that latest version when you don’t need to. Good for Apple, because it allows the company to claim that the majority of users are running the latest version, and good for you, because you are more secure and get access to new functions.
Upgraded to iOS 14? You can’t go back
The last version to come out before iOS 14 launched was iOS 13.7. That version of the operating system brought, among other things, the bug-free version of the notification system regarding corona. As is known, this is not a special app, but developers can use an API (tools for developers) with which they can build an app themselves. In any case, the iOS is ready for it.
External research shows that iOS 14 is popular with people. Mixpanel says that more than 26 percent of all suitable users have the latest version of the iOS operating system installed. In addition, it was also revealed that a jailbreak for the system is already available. That jailbreak only works for iPhones with an A9 chip, due to modern security measures that Apple has taken for the new models. Meanwhile, iOS 14.2 is also already being tested by developers and beta testers.
