A Bugatti Type 57 Ventoux was caught at the Romanian Auto Registry. The car is part of Ion Țiriac’s car collection.
Ion Țiriac’s car collection is well known, comprising hundreds of models, both classic and state-of-the-art cars. The former tennis player owns rare automobiles, and the two most recent exhibits to join the collection are two Mercedes-Benz 600 Pullmans.
We will not talk about these, but about a car that has been part of the Țiriac Collection for many years. It is about a Bugatti Type 57 Ventoux since 1939. Recently, the car was caught at the Romanian Auto Registry. The 80-plus-year-old coupe is a spectacular presence among modern cars.

Some photos of the car were posted on the Facebook group Car Spotting. The car was caught in the premises of a unit of the Romanian Auto Registry. Most likely, the Bugatti had its periodic technical inspection.
As we are used to, the car looks very good, being an exhibit of the collection. The classically designed bodywork and spoked rims remind us of another era of motoring.
And the interior is on par with the exterior, with leather seats, solid wood trim and chrome inserts. Analogue levers and clocks are carefully crafted, and the large four-spoke metal steering wheel has a wooden ring.
Under the hood is a 3.3-liter inline-eight engine that produces 135 hp. The manual gearbox has four gears, sending all the power to the rear axle.
Such a car is not cheap. As rare, hand-built, limited-edition cars, the value of such a car amounts to considerable sums. Prices for such Bugatti Type 57 Ventoux models vary between 200,000 and 800,000 euros.
