A preliminary examination with the investigated offense of manslaughter, was ordered by the Criminal Prosecutor of Ioannina for the death of the 20-year-old student from Chios.
The prosecutor’s decision was taken as soon as he took into account the material collected so far by the Ioannina police department, in the context of the investigation into the death of the 20-year-old student who died while being treated with a diagnosis of tonsillitis at the University Hospital.
It is recalled that today the autopsy is expected to be performed on the unfortunate girl in order to determine the causes of her death.
Speaking to Alpha TV, the 20-year-old’s father said: “I want to protect the other children too.” While he added: “But the pain never went away and she had a fever until we finally lost her. When we found out, we lost the phone. The attending physician is also awaiting the forensic examination. They reassured us about the child, they said they would give him double antibiotics. The girl said she had pain in her tonsils and a fever.”

Pending the family’s decision on whether or not to appoint a technical consultant, today Friday the autopsy-necropsy is expected to be carried out by the Forensic and Toxicology Laboratory of the University of Ioannina, to investigate the causes that led to the death of the 20-year-old student from Chios, as transmits it ertnews.gr.
The case is already being investigated with a preliminary investigation procedure by the Police, while a preliminary investigation is being conducted at the University Hospital, where the unfortunate girl ended up.
The young lady died after a week of hospitalization at the University Hospital, where she had been admitted with a diagnosis of tonsillitis.
