The national anniversary of October 28 will be celebrated in the city of Ioannina on Saturday according to the following program announced by the Region of Epirus:
7:30 am Festive morning with joyful church bells and with the participation of the philharmonic of the Municipality of Ioannina and the military music playing thurios and marching bands in the streets of the city of Ioannina.
8:00 am Official flag raising at the Headquarters of the 8th Infantry Division.
10:30 am Official doxology at the Holy Metropolitan Church of Agios Athanasios. Speech by Dr. Maroula Papaevstathiou-Tsaga, Philologist Education Advisor of Ioannina.
11:15 am Memorial prayer to the Hero of Byzanomachon, laying of wreaths.
12:00 pm Parade of students, students, scout-guides, disabled war victims, resistance organizations, armed forces and security forces
