The 44-year-old woman who was taken to the University Hospital of Ioannina with very serious burns is fighting for her life.
All the evidence shows that the woman, a Romanian national, set herself on fire outside an apartment building on Dodonis Avenue, as reported by epirupost.gr.
The apartment showed no signs of fire, while the fire department found a plastic container with traces of flammable material a short distance from the woman.
The 44-year-old woman has been admitted to the operating room, while the University Hospital has started the process of finding a burns unit in order to treat her afterwards.
