UPDATE 14:29: Among the participants in the service are Gyuri Pascu’s ex-wife, Daniela Marin, and 19-year-old daughter Iarina Ana. Former colleagues of Ioan Gyuri Pascu from the band Divertis also came to the funeral.
The leader of the humorous band, Toni Grecu, was absent from the ceremony, but Silviu Petcu or Cristian Greţcu could be seen. Elena Cârstea also participates in the funeral.
Ioan Gyuri Pascu will be buried with his parents and one of his sisters.
UPDATE 14.00: The Evangelical Cemetery in Agnita, where Ioan Gyuri Pascu will be buried, is only 100 meters from the block where the actor and singer lived, before leaving his hometown.
UPDATE 13.59: Hundreds of people present in the city of Agnita, Sibiu County, applauded for minutes when the artist’s lifeless body was removed from the evangelical chapel. The funeral service is officiated by four priests in the evangelical cemetery in Agnita.
UPDATE 13.00: President Klaus Iohannis, Prime Minister Dacian Ciolos and the mayor of the capital, Gabriela Firea, sent wreaths. Also, a huge wreath of roses was placed next to the coffin by Ioan Gyuri Pascu’s colleagues from Divertis.
In front of the entrance to the chapel there are panels on which those who wish can write thoughts and messages for Gyuri Pascu, and in the background the artist’s music can be heard. The place was filled with flowers and wreaths.
