Karachi: Legendary player Inzamam-ul-Haq has been re-elected as the chief selector of the Pakistan cricket team. This is the second time the actor has reached this position. The 53-year-old Inzamam was earlier the chief selector of Pakistan Cricket from 2016 to 2019.
1992 World Cup winner Inzamam agreed to be the selector last week. Inzamam played 120 Tests for Pakistan and scored 8830 runs at an average of 49.60. 25 centuries and 46 fifties were born from the bat of the star. Inzamam played 378 matches for Pakistan in ODIs and scored 11739 runs. He scored 10 centuries and 83 fifties. The actor has also played one Twenty20 match.
Inzamam replaces Haroon Rashid, who stepped down last month. Inzamam has a big goal ahead of him to pick the best team for the upcoming Cricket World Cup. The World Cup starts in October. Pakistan is also competing in the Asia Cup tournament.
