Among the clubs, Barcelona, Real Madrid and Juventus are still the leaders, and the new plan is the result of discussions with many clubs. They are mainly worried about the financial gap between the leagues of various countries.
At present, many clubs are still affected by the new crown epidemic, and the financial gap between the Premier League and the major leagues is getting wider and wider. Among the first 35 transactions with the highest value in the January transfer window, 31 were from the Premier League. Among them, the purchases did not involve Spanish, German and Italian clubs.
The European Super League plan launched in April 2021, among the 12 permanent member teams, 6 teams are from the Premier League, but the new plan does not involve British clubs.
