What is the problem with wage transfer?
The wage portage allows the company that makes use of it to download the administrative, legal and contractual dimension of its activity, an often restrictive and time-consuming dimension, to satisfy a need for specialized skills. The wage portage allows companies to use a resource (the freelancer / consultant) very quickly, without having to hire them or force them to set up a business. Its management is drastically simplified as it does not have to do anything else, in all respects, to pay a monthly bill, and this without commitment of duration or minimum time. Therefore, the wage transfer offers great flexibility as it is set up without delay, allows it to be up and running very quickly, and adapts to missions of one week and three years. This also allows companies to prevent any economic, legal and reputational risk. Finally, the wage portage promotes greater cost control and more flexible cash management because, unlike an employee who has to be paid at the end of each month, the portage company will be able to adjust the payment deadlines for invoices.
In the current economic context, which can be difficult or worrying due to a lack of visibility, companies have complex needs that require skills that they don’t necessarily have in-house. The legal certainty, simplicity of execution and the non-binding expertise offered by the wage portage can greatly relieve companies in this unpredictable climate.
What is the Billing identity?
Our clientele is mainly service oriented. This includes a wide variety of industries, such as all areas related to IT, new technologies, energy, industry or human resources. Our goal is to offer the optimal form of self-employment organization in each country where we operate. We want to allow self-employed (B2C) and companies (B2B) to better control working conditions to be free to undertake with peace of mind, focusing on what underlies their core business rather than administrative aspects.
This corresponds to the deep values ofBilling : we believe in everyone’s ability to grow professionally. It is for this reason that our clientele includes small, medium and large companies, national or international, sometimes even NGOs, without distinction. We do not have a minimum turnover before the acceptance of a new customer because we are aware that every adventure has a beginning and that we must be able to accompany these first steps. In the case of a new company or a young self-employed person, the transfer of wages is often a valuable aid because it does not require any investment.
How do you position yourself in the current market?
Although wage transfer has existed since the 1990s and was invented in France, it first developed strongly in Anglo-Saxon countries. However, we have experienced a subsequent but very strong momentum. The health crisis was undoubtedly a trigger that fostered this transformation. The massive openness of remote work has been beneficial for babywearing. A large number of companies have therefore opened in this branch over the past three years.
In this context, our history sets us apart. Billing has been part of a consolidated group for several decades. We have very strong international roots. Multilingual, we are often asked by foreign companies for the experience of French self-employed workers. We also have a large number of freelancers who wish to open their services to international companies.
Our legitimacy also stems from the fact that we are members of the European Federation of Wage Portage Companies (FEPS), one of whose goals is to conclude agreements and conventions as a representative professional organization in the field of portage wages with the Senate. For example, the right to training of freelancers in portage was obtained in December 2020. It is important to continue to develop legislation on wage transfer so that it better suits the needs of freelancers and ensures their activity.
