The concert cycle “with a tribute to their country and playful ease in music” has been going on for twelve years now, and this year’s holiday concert will meet listeners for the first time on November 6 at the Ogre Culture Center.

“The chosen theme is not accidental,” admits Aigars Dinsbergs, producer of the concert “Sons of God. Daughters of the Sun”. “The source of the unconscious power of our nation is found in folk songs, and during this time strength and faith are really needed. In folk traditions, the daughter of the sun and sons of God are both Therefore, today the daughters of the Sun enter the life and everyday life of our world to allow each Latvian to realize with the sons of God the timeless power that dwells in us, the soul of folk songs to be reborn in the hearts of stage musicians, to resonate with pride and hearts gratitude for our nation and country. “

The songs selected in the program are characterized by joy and vitality, which will be mixed with the poetic language of mythologically timeless and infinitely beautiful folk songs. The concert program will once again meet the audience’s favorite singers Kristīne Kārkle-Kalniņa, Andris Ērglis, Anmary, Dainis Skutelis, Antra Stafecka and actor Rihards Lepers. Similar to the program “My Folk Songs” created several years ago, this time folk melodies will be created in new arrangements created in the manner of ethnopope – by Jānis Strazds and Kristīne Kārkle-Kalniņa. Accompanying instrumentalists – Jānis Strazds (keyboards), Kristīne Kārkle-Kalniņa (violin), Edgars Kārklis (bagpipes, stabules, accordion), Jānis Kalniņš (guitar), Valters Sprūdžs (bass), Miķelis Vīte (percussion instrument) ).

In previous years, the programs “My Song for Latvia”, “Golden Songs of Latvian Cinema and Theater”, “Songs of Free Latvia”, “My Folk Songs”, “My Motherland”, “My Own Fatherland”, “My Folk Songs of Fate” have been created within the framework of this cycle. , “Give, Gods”, “Blow, winds” and “Heartbeat”.

Festive concert “Sons of God.
