Invite His Daughter, Kim Jong Un to Show Off Nuclear Missiles at the Military Parade

Pyongyang

The leader North Korea (Jewelry) Kim Jong Un again invited his beloved daughter while attending massive military parade on Wednesday (8/2) evening. The military parade also showcased attack capabilities North Korean nukes by barely a dozen intercontinental ballistic missile (ICBM) shown to the public.

As reported Associated Press and CNNFriday (10/2/2023), a military parade held in Pyongyang on Wednesday (8/2) night that showcased the latest equipment in North Korea’s nuclear arsenal, including what experts call a new solid-fuel ICBM missile that may be tested some next month.

Nearly a dozen ICBM missiles were showcased by the North Korean military in a massive parade that night. North Korean state media has called the missiles “nuclear strike capability”.

The missiles paraded across Kim Il Sung Square in Pyongyang, with Kim Jong Un accompanied by his wife, Ri Sol Ju and daughter Kim Ju Ae watched the parade from a special podium.

The parade was held to mark the 75th anniversary of the founding of the North Korean military. The parade was held after all last year, Pyongyang carried out a series of missile tests that scored the most records, including involving ICBM missiles which in theory could strike the mainland United States (US).

The Hwasong-17 ICBM missile, which has this capability, according to analysts, was also exhibited in a military parade on Wednesday (8/2) evening.

“Apparently 10-12 Hwasong-17 ICBMs appeared. This is cumulatively more ICBM launchers than we’ve ever seen before in a North Korean parade,” said Ankit Panda, a nuclear policy expert at the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace.

Panda said if each ICBM missile carries a nuclear warhead payload, then it could represent a volume sufficient to overwhelm US ballistic missile defenses. The display of the Hwasong-17 missile barrage seemed to fulfill Kim Jong Un’s promise to equip his country with nuclear weapons that could threaten the US.
