Along with the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic and the emergence of various virus variants including Delta, British singer and Beatles bassist, Paul McCartney, invited his fans to get an injection of the Covid-19 vaccine.
Through his Instagram page, he uploaded a photo of himself being vaccinated by a health worker on August 2 and wrote the caption, “Be Cool. Get Vax’d”.
At that time, he was wearing a beanie and t-shirt of the same color and a mask that covered his nose, mouth and chin. Paul’s post got 475,522 likes.
As quoted from the Billboard page, Tuesday (3/8), in the UK more than 46 million people have received the first dose of the Covid vaccine, while only 38 million have received the second dose.
Previously, Paul told The Sun he wants to be vaccinated when the age group is above 50 years and those with a high risk of exposure to Covid-19 get vaccinated priority.
“The vaccine will get us out of this (pandemic). I think we will get through it, I know we will get through it, and this is great news about the vaccine. I will get it as soon as it is allowed,” he said. Ant/I-1
