Investors Urge AFM and DNB to Investigate Alleged Violations of Dutch Financial Supervision Laws by Triodos Bank

In a letter dated December 28, they ask the AFM (Financial Markets Authority) and the DNB (De Nederlandsche Bank) to start an investigation into possible violations of Dutch legislation on financial supervision.

They believe that the imposition of a new system for trading the certificates through a platform managed by the Dutch Captin has “fundamentally” changed the certificates (and in terms of risk class). “This means that the trading of the certificates is no longer in accordance with the rules of the market and for the protection of investors, which falls under the supervision of the AFM, and that this can endanger the stability of the bank. , which falls under the supervision of the DNB,” writes Brussels lawyer Laurent Arnauts.

The complainants want Triodos to buy back the certificates at the price they bought them at (89 euros). On December 27, the price had fallen to 20.50 euros.

The complaint will be filed in January.
