Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia – The Stockbit stock investment application owned by PT Stockbit Sekuritas Digital was difficult to access and use for transactions on Monday (9/5/2022). This issue was then widely discussed by investors on social media.
One of the complaints was seen from a Twitter user with the account name @yourchemi***. He said that it was difficult to access Stockbit since the beginning of trading after the week of Eid holidays.
“Initially the market was open instead of maintenance. Entertainment from @stockbit,” he said.
A similar complaint was also submitted by another Twitter user with the account name @metan***. He even said that he would move to another securities service because it was difficult to access the application.
“This is crazy, @Stockbit! The first day after the long holiday, the server went down. Even though many traders wanted to buy-sell. Never mind, move to other securities,” he wrote.
CNBC Indonesia had tried to access Stockbit in the early trading period after the Eid holiday. The application was observed to be difficult to access in the early hours of trading starting at around 09.00 WIB.
When this news was written, the application can be accessed without problems. However, there has been no explanation from PT Stockbit Sekuritas Digital regarding the problems that had befallen the product.
CNBC Indonesia has confirmed the issue to Stockbit Co-founder Wellson Lo. However, Wellson has not given an explanation until this news aired.
The problem of accessing Stockbit coincided with the weakening of the Composite Stock Price Index (JCI) by more than 3 in the first trading month of May. As of 10.06 WIB, the JCI was observed to have fallen by 4.01% to the level of 6,938.78.
