Investors’ club: reject Apple CEO Cook’s $99 million reward | Financial

ISS, an advisory board for major shareholders in America, has sent its customers a letter advising them not to agree with the generous remuneration that Cook was awarded last year, The Financial Times reported. According to ISS, the high amount for Apple’s figurehead is ‘worrying’. In 2015, ISS also objected to the CEO’s remuneration.

Over the past year, Cook was very happy with his earnings. He was awarded a shareholding worth $82 million. On top of that came an additional bonus of $12 million in cash and another $3 million in salary.

There are a number of striking things in Cook’s salary package. The CEO receives more than $700,000 for the personal use of a private jet. For his own security, he gets an additional $600,000 deposited into his account.

Cook has done an excellent job with Apple over the past year. The great enthusiasm among investors for the American tech giant even pushed the share to a milestone to above $3 trillion in market capitalization.
