The European Commission has approved the acquisition of Roompot Group by investment company KKR, the Commission Friday announced.
Roompot operates 31 holiday parks in the Netherlands and 2 in Germany. The company also handles bookings for other holiday parks in France and Belgium, among others.
In June it became clear that the American investment company KKR was interested in a takeover of Roompot. So now approval has been received from Brussels. The Commission does not expect the transaction to raise any competition concerns.
The amount for which the Americans buy the originally Zeeland company has not been disclosed. The French investor PAI Partners is the current owner of Roompot.
