Investor Hertha Berlin is running out of patience. His ambitions with the club are still not being fulfilled

Wealthy German businessman Lars Windhorst is slowly but surely losing patience with the Hertha Berlin football club, in which he has already invested considerable funds. The forty-four-year-old multimillionaire has been a co-owner of the organization since 2019, and since then Hertha has occupied the 10th resp. 14th place.

And in the current season, it is currently twelfth, when it won only six points out of six duels for two victories and four losses. Over the last weekend, his club lost to Leipzig high 0: 6.

“Wow, I’m a little shocked. I need a drink right now,” wrote Windhorst on Facebook after Saturday’s debacle. And that’s a sign that he’s not happy at all. After all, the introduction of the current year suggests that for the Berlin team it will be another competitive year filled with disappointment. Hertha’s previous loss was not any milder – at the end of August she lost to Bayern Munich 0: 5.

Lars Windhorst wants to build a club from Hertha, which will move in the upper half of the I. Bundesliga table in Germany. Alternatively, take a look at the places in the Champions League. So far, however, his ambitions are far from being fulfilled. “Certainly this process should not take five to ten years, rather two to five,” he noted. “My goal is to get Herth to the top. If it requires more investment, I’m ready to provide it,” added.

Hertha Berlin also includes the Slovak national team defender Peter Pekarík, he has been working in the club since the summer of 2012. In this season, however, he has so far only reached two league matches, only sitting on the bench since the end of August.
