The work is already underway.
As announced by the representatives of MTP, 2022 promises to be extremely intense for the Group. The plans include international events and a number of prestigious business events. Large infrastructure projects will also be completed and will be permanently included in the architecture of the capital of Wielkopolska.
One of the largest projects currently carried out by the MTP Group is the construction of a three-story underground car park at the Poznań International Fair, which will accommodate over 650 cars. The entrance will be from ul. Głogowska, at the height of the railway station. The above-ground part of this area will also change its face, which will become a new urban space under the banner of Pewuki Square. This name is a tribute to the General National Exhibition, which took place in 1929 on the occasion of the tenth anniversary of Poland regaining independence, and was used to present the achievements of the Second Polish Republic. The new square will become an important place on the event map of Poznań – representatives of MTP resemble.
We want to make this place friendly to conferences, concerts and cultural events. The space will be opened to the city – announces Tomasz Kobierski, President of the Management Board of Grupa MTP. The investment will be put into use in mid-2022. The car park is built mainly for participants of trade fairs, but local residents will also benefit from it. Above the underground car park, between pavilions 1, 2 and 12, there will be e.g. a square surrounded by greenery with places for recreation and relaxation.
However, this is not the end of the MTP’s investment offensive. In May 2022, the new facade of the Poznań Congress Center will be commissioned. It will be constructed of thousands of small tiles that react to weather conditions. The kinetic elevation gives the impression of being moved, which will distinguish the building from the urban architecture and make the Poznań Congress Center one of the most characteristic objects of the Poznań International Fair – inform the representatives of MTP.
In the first quarter of 2022, Grupa MTP also plans to commission a restaurant under the name Port Sołacz in the historic district of Poznań and select a contractor for the modernization of the Arena Sports and Entertainment Hall.
