We know how difficult it is to buy a house: it’s an important step, an investment for life. Property prices are certainly not low, but there is one region of Italy that would stand out for going against the tide. And it’s not in the South.
Usually the average price of real estate changes, between the south and the north, with the first usually much cheaper than the second. However there is the exception that would prove the rule, which has made headlines and is doing the rounds of the web.
The news about the houses with the cheapest price on the market, has all the paradoxes of the situation. First because, as already mentioned, it does not concern properties located in southern Italy. Second, because it is found near the most expensive city in Italyi.e. Padua.
It’s really strange that the joint with the cheapest houses in Italy you are in Veneto and close to a center that is not cheap at all. The country is called Saletto and according to the statistics disclosed by the search engine specialized in buying and selling homes, i.e Mitula, it would be the municipality where the houses cost less than in the rest of Italy.
How much do houses cost in the cheapest country in Italy
In fact, it seems that the houses are sold for only 707 euros per square metre. Obviously this is an average price and this suggests that there could still be houses sold at a lower price than this. It could therefore happen that you buy a house from 100 square meters at about 60 thousand euros! It’s a really low price and super affordable.
At this point, several possibilities open up. Potential buyers could be both people and they go in search of their first home, maybe why not? Moving to Saletto. Both those who live in Padua and already own a home, want make a profitable investmenti.e. buying and reselling in a short time.
But at this point another question arises. Where are the most expensive houses located? The answer is not that difficult: they are both a Milan than in Venice. In the end, however, the Italian city with the most expensive prices is precisely the Lombard capital, where even the prices are often exceeded 8 thousand euros per square meter. So about 10 times more than the price of the house for sale in the municipality of Saletto. It’s weird, don’t you think?
