For the fourth time since April, investigators are exploring a wooded plot of Issancourt-et-Rummel, in the Ardennes, to try to find the body of Estelle Mouzin, the 9-year-old girl who disappeared in 2003 that Michel Fourniret confessed to having kidnapped and killed before dying.
A stone close to the body
On the fourth day of this new campaign, the research focuses in particular on a stone, indicates Richard Delgenes, Monique Olivier’s lawyer. According to the indications of the ex-companion of the Ogre des Ardennes, present on the excavations in progress, Michel Fourniret would indeed have buried Estelle Mouzin near a stone.
This new, tenuous element comes after long hours of hearing Monique Olivier by the examining magistrate Sabine Kheiris this fall. “After all the efforts and everything that has been put in place, I think that the examining magistrate cannot say to herself “I will stop there”. We have to go to the end of the process“, says Richard Delgenes.
