Wolters said he is very certain that Bruckner killed Maddie, even though his investigative team does not currently have sufficient evidence to support it. Bruckner is currently in prison in Germany after a conviction for drug smuggling and rape. The sentence for drug offenses expires in January, after which Bruckner has to remain in jail for seven years for rape.
