Police are still investigating the cause series of accidents on the Ungaran-Semarang toll road. The bus driver involved in the accident was detained for questioning along with witnesses.
“Yes, we have secured the bus driver,” said Head of Traffic for the Semarang Police, AKBP Yunaldi, as reported by detikJatengSunday (1/10/2023).
The accident occurred at Km 422+500 and involved six vehicles, namely Freed B 2292 FME, CR-V B 2557 BJF, A 7870 KC bus, Hiace D 7090 VC minibus, tronton truck and Mazda AD 1759 D.
“This is thought to have been behind the bus that hit. We are investigating the facts on the ground. Thank God there were no casualties,” explained Yunaldi.
“There were no casualties,” he said.
Regarding the cause of the accident, Yunaldi emphasized that it still needs to be investigated, including whether there are any suspects who will be named in the incident.
